Activision Announces Secret Service for 360, PS2, PC
The absurd setup seems so obvious, you have to wonder how no one got around to doing this sooner -- Activision has announced Secret Service, a new "tactical first-person action game" that, naturally, puts the players in the role of a secret service agent who must protect the country's leaders when Washington, D.C. comes under attack by "extremists" on Inauguration Day.The game promises a plot full of "twists and revelations," as "security has been compromised and it is unclear who is friend or foe" (mysterious!). The action will take place across famous landmarks, including Marine One and Air Force One, and with the White House, The Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial (pictured) also visible in screenshots. Exactly which team inside Activision is working on the game isn't made clear, although the press release notes that Daniel Arey (who has worked on Uncharted, and the Jak and Crash Bandicoot series in the past) contributed to the story and level design in Secret Service."This game is a unique addition to the first person action genre, with a rich storyline set across famous locations and the need to use both lethal and non-lethal force to achieve your objectives," said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. "Secret Service brings a nice refreshing spin to fans of run-and-gun games."
